My name is Czarina Caluya-Fini. I'm a proud resident of Summit County, where I live with my children, and husband of 15 years.

When I was four years old, my family moved from the Philippines to Akron. I attended St. Anthony of Padua, where I enjoyed singing with my older sister in the guitar choir. I spoke in my native tongue until the first grade when I learned English after school. I loved school and my classmates. In 5th grade, we moved to Middleburg Heights, where I played in a traveling softball team, and was captain of the cheerleading squad at St. Bartholomew. Years later, I  coached my younger sister's cheerleading squad at St. Bart's.

Two of my favorite activities are singing and performing. In high school at Magnificat, I was in the choir and sang in area competitions. I also participated in plays and musicals at Magnificat and St. Edward. I even performed as a professional singer for a while in the Cleveland area.

I attended Kent State and Cleveland State before starting my journey in Retail. For 30 years, I enjoyed being a coach/trainer, manager and top performer with Clinique and other prestigious cosmetic brands. Eventually, I decided to be a stay at home mom to care for my two younger children, who have autism. In the past 13 years, I've been a strong advocate for the autism community and have worked as a parent advocate for Summit County. I've also been involved with the Autism Society of greater Akron/Cleveland and Milestones.

I valued my time in customer relations management and sales over the years. My dreams of owning my own business led to me to start a new career in Real Estate.

I try to prioritize genuine love and care for others in every part of my life—in my family, my friendships, and my professional work. Community and caretaking are significant values in Filipino culture. My experiences in the community have taught me about the importance of uplifting and caring for each other. I feel that this has informed my approach to advocacy and how I interact with clients.

I’m also a part of a large family that loves to get together. Our gatherings often center around sharing big meals and celebrations.

My two oldest children have a love for music, which is something that has always connected our family. I'm also proud to report my youngest child has just received his black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

As for me, I am so excited about this new chapter of my career.
